The ensemble "Board Games" passionately dedicates itself to alpine folk music and folklore as well as classical literature. The three dulcimer players met during their studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and now share their enthusiasm as teachers. In changing formations with two dulcimers and harp or three dulcimers, they showcase the impressive variety of their instruments.

In this concert, the ensemble Board Games embarks on a journey into the Baroque. The focus is on the chromatic Salzburg dulcimer and its historical roots. Original works for salterio (one of the predecessors of the dulcimer) as well as arrangements by Johann Sebastian Bach, Michael Praetorius, and Antonio Vivaldi will be performed. The program is supplemented by students from the talent promotion of the State Music School St. Johann in Tirol.
