Unfortunately no. Due to brisk trade, landlords cannot make any table reservations.
There are over 22 different dumplings, however unfortunately there are no gluten-free dumplings available at the moment.
It is not prohibited, but for your dog's welfare, we would not recommend it, since many visitors may be frightened of them.
The dumpling festival is well-attended, for that reason, some sections of the narrow paths are only passable with difficulty. Prams are not suitable for the festival.
All food establishments are open. There are also designated WC facilities in the festival area.
Go to the host landlord who will contact First Aiders/paramedics. Paramedics are on call within the festival area. Or dial the emergency number 112. Please provide information about the stand number you are at, which is visible at the point where food is served.
Lost property can be handed in to and collected from the official dumpling festival merchandise stands.
Children up to the age of 14 can enjoy the dumpling festival free of charge. Those aged 15 and over pay a Youth entry fee.
The event takes place whatever the weather, except in the event of extreme weather advisories.
The 595 metre dumpling table is located in the centre of St. Johann in Tirol.
There is a campsite in St. Johann in Tirol - Camping Michelnhof, Tel.: +43 5352 62584, www.camping-michelnhof.at. It is around a 20 minute walk from the campsite to the festival area.
Due to regulatory requirements and to maintain the quality of the dumpling festival (particularly with regard to the safety and the number of visitors), without exception, all bus groups (tour coach companies) are to present valid tickets which have been purchased in advance online. Without valid entry tickets, which have been purchased in advance in the online ticket shop entry to the dumpling festival is not permitted. There is no cashdesk available on the day. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a link via which all tickets for your guests (one ticket for each guest) can be printed out.
Once again this year there will be 2 designated and supervised bus parking spaces close to the festival area. If you have any questions, please contact the tourist association at info@kitzalps.cc, Tel: +43 5352 633350!
checkPlease note that every guest needs a ticket and this must be presented at the entrance and upon exit.
checkGuests receive the popular dumpling festival badge and the dumpling festival recipe pamphlet at designated bus parking areas and at official entrance points.
checkNo drinks or dumplings are available before the official start of the dumpling festival. Other food is somewhat difficult to obtain too since the landlords will be busy with setting up before the event.
checkThe biggest crowd of visitors is expected around 14.30/15.00. After that things become a little more ‘airy’.
checkPlease use the designated bus parking area, which is located close to the festival area.
checkA WC container is available at parking areas.
St. Johann in Tirol once again became a dumpling metropolis. The longest dumpling table in the world takes place in September each year.
