The Dirndl and Lederhosen Days in the Region Hohe Salve now extend over an entire weekend for the first time! From Friday to Sunday, a varied programme full of tradition, music and culinary highlights awaits you. Then the highlight on Saturday: The highlight on Saturday: The Tyrolean panoramic mountain Hohe Salve and its smaller sister, the Kleine Salve, transform into a true celebration of tradition! Girls and boys in dirndls and lederhosen as far as the eye can see, as well as culinary highlights and exciting performances by the Hopfgarten rural youth, the children's Schuhplattler and the Weisenbläser await young and old summiteers at the hut hosts. The highlight on the official Dirndl and Lederhosen Day: In the morning and afternoon, a fashion show with the most beautiful dirndls and lederhosen from Trachtenbekleidung Niederkofler awaits you at the summit of the Hohe Salve. The Hohe Salve mountain railway in Hopfgarten and the Salvistabahn in Itter will take you a little closer to heaven at unbeatable prices. On Dirndl and Lederhosen Day, you get your day ticket for the Salvenbahn and Salvistabahn lifts at half price!

With the mountain railway directly to the huts
On Saturday, 06 June 2026, you will receive a 50% discount on the day ticket in Hopfgarten and Itter.
The Sunnseit Hut is located between the middle station and the valley station of the Hopfgarten cable cars. You can reach the summit with the Hohe Salve summit restaurant with the Salvenbahn I & II.
You can easily reach the Kleine Salve terminus with the Salvistabahn Itter. Just below is the Kleine Salve reservoir. From there you can also hike the Hohe Salve.

Accessible by public transport
The Dirndl and Lederhosen Day can of course be reached by bus or train. You can easily take the bus to the valley station in Itter and the bus or train to Hopfgarten. The bus stops are (almost) directly at the two valley stations Hopfgarten and Itter.
