On Saturday, 8 March 2025, the 2nd Retro Ski Day will take place in the Region Hohe Salve and in the SkiWelt Hopfgarten-Itter ski area in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental! Immerse yourself in a journey through time on the snow-covered pistes, surrounded by picturesque Alpine landscape and enjoy a hint of nostalgia. This event, presented by Region Hohe Salve tourist association and SkiWelt Hopfgarten-Itter, promises an unforgettable day full of fun, music and retro charm. Secure your day ski pass for Hopfgarten and Itter at an unbeatable price and experience a retro ski day with a Gaudi ski race and enjoy musical presentations in participating Alpine inns. Tickets already purchased, including season tickets, multi-day ski passes, etc., are of course also valid.

PLEASE NOTE: All pistes in SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental are closed from 17.00 for preparation work (⚠Please note: danger to life!).

checkLine 862 from Itter to Hopfgarten: You can also get from Itter to Hopfgarten free of charge on the normal ski bus (line 862), which runs to Hopfgarten at regular intervals.

checkFor all participants: A small gift and a certificate with a group photo as a souvenir.
checkPrizes: Main prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as an honour for the last place. In addition, further prizes will be raffled off among all participants. Please note: Prizes will not be awarded on site. The winners will be notified by phone or email and can collect their prize from one of the information offices or the prizes will be sent by post.
checkHow it works: The average of the fastest and slowest times is taken (3 participants). Start numbers issued at the start area just before the race is due to begin. The squad which gets closest to the average time will win the main prize. And of course the fastest and the slowest of the day will receive prizes.

Accessible via public transport
The Retro ski day is of course accessible via bus and train .
Direct bus link between: Hopfgarten – Itter & Kelchsau
After Itter, you can get to the valley station conveniently by bus and by bus or train to Hopfgarten.
The stops are (almost) direct at both valley stations in Hopfgarten and Itter.
An additional extra: You can use the bus and train connections in the region free of charge with your guest card.
