After a hiking tour you arrive at the lovely mountain hut which lies in the middle of nature. At 1700 m above sea level, the adventure begins with a panoramic view of the alpine world surrounding the rustic stand-alone cabin. Around the hut you have a fenced-off and untouched area all to yourself. A hiking trail leads directly past the mountain hut and it is only about a 15-minute hike to the Bamberger Hütte.

Region Hohe Salve

The region Hohe Salve in the Kitzbüheler Alpen hosts one of the largest and most modern ski resorts in the world, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, where skiing holidays in winter are packed with fun and action. In summer, the hiking area in and around Hopfgarten im Brixental extends from the Adlerweg trail on Buchacker mountain via the adventure mountain Hohe Salve to the Torhelm, the highest peak in the Kitzbüheler Alpen. Be it spring, summer, autumn or winter – in the Kitzbüheler Alpen you find boundless possibilities for leisure time activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing, winter rambling, cycling, hiking, swimming, and many others. The Rosswildalm is an eco-lodge of a very special kind and is located in the middle of a dreamlike high valley in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps. Thanks to the wonderful solitary location in untouched nature, it is easy to experience peace, relaxation or adventure. In the cosy and rustic wooden hut, which is heated with a wood stove, there is a well-equipped kitchen with a large dining table in the Zirbenstube, as well as a shower and toilet. 2 triple rooms and a double room offer space for up to 8 people. Light, hot water and the charging current (12V) are powered by a gas system and a photovoltaic system. A large veranda with sunshade and rain roof also invites you to stay outside.

Access by car is not possible, which means that the holiday begins with an approx. 1.5 hour hike! Luggage transport up to 10 minutes' walk to the hut can be booked in the summer months on request.
