Countdown
The pretzel soup is a traditional Tirolean dish, which has fallen into oblivion a little bit. The simple dish is not really a soup, but more like a casserole. Filling, hearty and most of all mighty tasty - that’s exactly what makes up this regional dish. Cook the pretzel soup at home and stage your very own Pretzel Soup Festival.
check3 pretzels without salt
check200g beer cheese
check200ml beef broth
check1 small onion
check1 small curl of butter
checkSalt, nutmeg, pepper and some chives
Preheat the oven to 180° hot air
For the pretzel soup cut the three pretzels into rough cubes and layer these into a casserole dish. The already prepared beef broth is heated and then poured over the cubes in the casserole dish. Season the mix with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Coarsely grate the beer cheese and then also mix into the pretzels.
Then bake the pretzel soup for ca. 10 minutes in the oven.
In the meantime, cut the onion into fine rings and brown it in butter.
Garnish the finished pretzel soup with the onion rings and some chive, serve and enjoy!
