Discover the world of cheese-making on a hike through the idyllic Kelchsau. Did you know that Hopfgarten and Kelchsau are the second largest milk producers in Tyrol with 7.9 million liters of milk per year? During the hike, we will stop at the Erlebnisalm Niederkaser. Here, during an exciting guided tour at 1:00 PM, you will learn all about the art of cheese-making and can taste the delicious products on site.

Meeting point: Hiking parking lot at the toll station Kelchsau, Innerkelchsau, 6361 Kelchsau
Registration: until the previous day at 4:00 PM online or at the information offices of the Hohe Salve region
Equipment: sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, sufficient liquid, and sun protection
Cost with Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: free (plus guided tour € 7.00)
Cost without Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: € 15.00 per person (plus guided tour € 7.00)
Duration: up to approx. 5 hours
Participants: min. 2 to max. 15
