Jakobsweg trail

Hike on a section of the Jakobsweg trail! What is probably one of the best known pilgrimage routes in our latitude proceeds through the St. Johann in Tirol region too. The route proceeds from Lofer via Waidring to Erpfendorf, Kirchdorf and St. Johann in Tirol. Continue via Oberndorf and Going to Ellmau. Magnificent scenery is guaranteed! Jakobsweg trail is an ancient Pilgrimage route to the alleged grave of St Jacob the Elder, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. The grave is located in Santiago de Compostela in the north west of Spain. Jakobsweg trail begins where a pilgrimage began, yet the Spanish section of the Jakobsweg trail is the best known, from the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela.
