Herbal midsummer hike with Elisabeth Klöbl & Sonja Schwaiger

This herbal solstice hike leads us together with herbal expert Sonja Schwaiger and Tyrolean mountain hiking guide Elisabeth Klöbl through the sunny and hilly Bichlach in Oberndorf and up its "panoramic mountain", the small Rettenberg - the highest elevation in Bichlach.

Up there we can use the space for a short rest and more information from Sonja, whereby we can also use the path and stop again and again.

We are also rewarded at Rettenberg with a magnificent panoramic view of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Sonja also tells us more about the "midsummer custom" in the region. Solstice fires have been lit here since pre-Christian times. Lovers jumped over the fire together and people celebrated a festival of gratitude for the coming harvest. The plant world is at its peak around the summer solstice.

The real "Johanneskraut", quendel, yarrow and many more can be discovered on our hike.
