Tour information

This moderate hike starts in the centre of Kirchberg, leads through the underpass and continues via the Weinbergweg and the Sonnbergstraße to the Filzerhof.
Leaving the Filzerhof behind, we follow the forest path prepared for winter hiking, which is marked with magenta signs. The trail leads us to the highest point, just below the Rauhen Kopf; the ascent to the summit cross is only possible in summer or with snowshoes. A fantastic panoramic view in all directions is the reward for the climb – the view of Kirchberg and into the Spertental with the striking Großer Rettenstein is unique! At the beginning of the descent, a short detour to the Kaiserblick is worthwhile, offering an impressive view of the rocky mountain range. The descent leads across the Hinteren Sonnberg with a refreshment stop at the Ruetzenhof. From here, we hike downhill past the Stockerbauer through the district of Spertendorf to the main road. We cross it, turn left and take the meadow path on the right towards the railway line. After a small underpass, the walking path runs along the railway tracks back to the village centre.
