Spertental - Labalm

This bike tour is possible with a mountain bike, gravel bike, or road bike; for the latter, it is recommended to take the paved main road as far as Aschau. The tour starts in Kirchberg, from where we ride along the valley cycle path to Aschau. Following the Aschauer Ache, this is an ideal tour, especially on hot summer days. Once in Aschau, we ride past the Kneipp facility into the Unterer Grund. With a moderate incline, we pass the waterfall with its suspension bridge, and soon the Spertenal protected landscape area opens up before us. Continuing uphill, we pass the Kasplatz show dairy, from where the road climbs a bit more steeply until we reach our destination, the Labalm. In the shadow of the Großer Rettenstein, it is a great place to linger and recharge with wonderful regional dishes during a stop. The way back is the reward for a slightly strenuous tour, as the route leads steadily downhill back to the starting point in Kirchberg.
