The starting point of Route 205 is at the valley station of the Gaisberglift in Kirchberg. From here, the route follows forest and hiking trails along the Aschauer Ache with a very gentle uphill gradient to Aschau. From Aschau, MTB Route 205 leads into the landscape conservation area below the Kleiner Rettenstein. From now on, the path climbs steadily, passing the Klooalm, until you reach the Ragstattalm where the path turns off to the left. From here, the route leads along a quiet forest road, alternating between uphill and downhill sections, until you finally reach the valley station of the Hiesleggbahn (1450 m). The descent that now begins is initially somewhat steep and on gravel, but as the descent continues, the path turns into a good asphalt road. At the valley station of the Pengelstein 1 lift, the path crosses the main road and the Aschauer Ache. We are now back on the cycling and hiking trail that leads us back to Kirchberg. Of course, this loop can also be ridden in the opposite direction.
