The starting and finishing point of this extensive circular tour is the hamlet of Aschau in Kirchberg i.T. - with various options for refreshments.
At the beginning of the tour, you ride on an asphalted road through the Spertental protected landscape area. The gently ascending route leads along the Ache river, past alpine meadows and a waterfall with a suspension bridge; slightly below the Labalm, we leave the asphalted road and follow the forest track.
From here, the more difficult part of the tour begins. After a few bends and a longer, straight section, we reach the junction for the Schöntalalm. Continuing along the Rettensteinrunde, you reach the junction for the Hirzeggalm. At the Hirzeggalm, you can enjoy the view over the entire valley and indulge in culinary delights at the hut. Those who feel like it can take a hike from the Hirzeggalm up to the "Spießnägel".
The ascent is complete, and from the third junction, the route already heads back down towards the valley. Once the last hairpin bend of the forest track is mastered, the route leads from the Kasplatzl show dairy via the asphalted road back to the starting point in Aschau.
