The tour starts in Kirchdorf and leads along the Achendamm to the hamlet of Habach - here we recommend a small detour to the Schützen chapel in the Habach valley. Via Stockergraben you hike up to the Hacher farmers. Then you reach the hiking trail to Kalkstein - enjoy the magnificent view down to the Leukental, the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser at this point.
Walk over hill and dale, past the Obingalm and Heisenalm to the Bruggwirtsalm. From the Bruggwirtsalm you already have the longed-for destination in front of your eyes. The Baumooskogel (1504 m) the highest elevation on the Kalkstein. When you have reached your destination, you will be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view. Across barren alpine pastures you hike in the direction of St. Johann in Tirol. From the district of Scheffau you will return to the Haberberg in Kirchdorf.
TIP: Take your own snacks and drinks with you (there are no catered alpine pastures on the mountain)!
