The starting point for this hike is the Kelchsau Unterdorf car park near the former Hofstattbahn railway. From there, follow the signs towards Feldalphorn (No. 74). Passing the Trockenbachalm, where a light snack awaits hikers, continue along trail no. 74 until you reach the summit of the Feldalphorn. The return journey follows the same route. Alternatively, after the Trockenbachalm, the tour can be combined with the Hüttelboden circuit. T. & Kitzbühel - after the tunnel take the exit towards Hopfgarten - at the roundabout take the B170 towards Hopfgarten - in Hopfgarten turn left before the railway subway towards Salvena - follow the signs to your destination.
