In the turmoil of the 30 Years' War, a mysterious soldier appears in a secluded Protestant village. Silent, slender, his face disfigured by a scar. The stranger claims to be the heir of a long-abandoned estate and can present a document that confirms his claim. To the great displeasure of the villagers.
