KAT Ski Tour - long distances on two planks

Cross the Kitzbühel Alps on touring skis

Those who want to enjoy the solitude of the mountains to the fullest can set off this winter for the first time with experienced guides on the KAT Ski Tour - a multi-day tour – across the Kitzbühel Alps. The tour runs over the snow-covered, gentle, grass mountains to the most beautiful ski touring areas in Austria. From the Hohe Salve holiday region in the East via the Brixen Valley as far as the Pillersee Valley in the West, grandiose mountain summits and endless deep snow descents beckon, covering a wide expanse from the Tyrolean ski touring Eldorado of Kelchsau, to the Windautal Valley, the Spertental Valley, Aurach and to the legendary freeride destination of Fieberbrunn.

The KAT Ski Tour is supervised by Kitzbühel's mountain guides and comprises four days of ski touring and two days of freeriding, during which you explore the unspoilt natural landscape of the region and enjoy unique experiences in nature. The Kitzbüheler Alpen ski tour crossing offers summit challenges as well as freeride and tour delights in a class of its own. Selected accommodation in the valley and organised luggage transport from one accommodation to the next ensures utmost comfort.

KAT Ski Tour Business Partners

The KAT in its Winter coat

Free rein for that happy feeling

The KAT Ski Tour is definitely not a classic ski tour. In the beginning, beautiful ski tours take you to selected peaks, away from the much-travelled popular tours. After the descents into the next valley, your luggage is always waiting for you and you will be spoiled by the hosts with culinary “delicacies” from the region.

In the second part of the tour, the downhill fun is further enhanced. The mountain guides know the most beautiful runs in the freeride areas of Kitzbühel and Fieberbrunn. For two days with the use of lifts and only short ascents, everything is dedicated to clocking up as many meters of powder skiing as possible. An adventure that not only provides enough substance for the last evening in the Wellness Hotel Alte Post, but also for memories that will last.
