Kitzbühel

The most legendary sports town in the Alps

World-famous Kitzbühel is one of the most exclusive winter sport resorts in the Alps. Kitzbühel combines tradition and lifestyle like no other town in the mountains. A sightseeing trip during your stay in the Kitzbühel Alps is well worth it. Take a walk in the footsteps of ski legends Toni Sailer, Hansi Hinterseer and the well-known painter Alfons Walde (1891 - 1958) through the alleyways of the historic town. Alfons Walde documented the development of the town of Kitzbühel into a world-famous winter sports centre in his paintings. Did you know Walde designed the famous town logo - the Kitzbühel Chamois?

The Hahnenkamm race is the annual highlight of the Ski World Cup and the biggest sporting festival in Austria. The numerous side events, the fan zone in the historic town centre as well as the winners' ceremonies in the evenings are all part of the Hahnenkamm race.
