Kaiserbachtal Snowshoe Trail - The Emperor's New Tracks "Red"

The snowshoe tour starts at Fischbachalm parking lot. Past the mountain rescue memorial chapel, the trail initially leads along the Kaisertalbach stream and then through a wintry conifer forest. Neat the mountain pine oil distillery, cross the road and snow-covered pastures to the Griesner Alm. The tour now cuts across country over pastures covered in deep snow back to Fischbachalm. In Kaiserbachtal Valley, winter is particularly harsh, yet also megical.

TIP: If the toll road into Kaiserbachtal Valley is closed, you can get to the starting point along the winter hiking trail along Kaiserbach stream. Walking time parting lot tollbooth to Fischbachalm ca. 1 hour.
