Drive along the Kaiserbachtal toll-road to Griesner Alm (1024m). Walk through sparse deciduous forests and wide pastures at the foot of the rugged Wilder Kaiser rock walls to Stripsenjochhaus (1577m). Shortly after the refuge a short stretch of the trail is secured with steel cables. If you want you can make a quick side hike to Stripsenkopf (1807m). The trail then follows the ridge of Feldberg (1813m), which is covered in dwarf pine and offers spectacular views of the Kitzbüheler Alpen and the Kaiser Massif. After a relaxing break, hike back to Griesner Alm via Vordere Ranggenalm and Hintere Ranggenalm. Alternatively you can hike down on Ranggenalmsteig trail and then head back to Griesner Alm.
From the parking lot at the Kaiserbachtal toll station, hike about one kilometre into the valley along the road until the alpine path to the Obere Scheibenbichlalm branches off to the right. The trail can be shortened several times via a footpath. Shortly before the Untere Scheibenbichlalm (1,280 m), alpine meadows offer the first views of the gigantic Wilder Kaiser. After the Obere Scheibenbichlalm, a narrow path with rocky, rope-secured passages leads over the long ridge of the Feldberg to the Feldberg cross (1,813 m). After a rest at the summit with an impressive panorama, continue hiking below the Stripsenkopf past the Hundskopf and Tavonaro cross to the Stripsenjochhaus.
For ambitious hikers: It is worth making a detour up to the Stripsenkopf with its viewing pavilion (1,807 m). Please note that this is a black mountain trail.
Back to the starting point, the parking lot Kaiserbachtal, hike down via the Wildanger. Past the "Steinerne Rinne" and the "Großes Griesner Tor" and reach the Griesner Alm. From here you walk comfortably along the Kaiserbach stream, back to the parking lot at the Kaiserbachtal toll station.
