Munich Philharmonic Bassoon Quartet

Bassoonists: Romain Lucas, Raffaele Giannotti, Esteban Wiart, Johannes Hofbauer
For a bassoon group in a leading German orchestra, all four are still very young, yet they share a love for music and an extraordinary friendship with each other.
The solo bassoonists of the Munich Philharmonic, Romain Lucas and Raffaele Giannotti, the deputy solo bassoonist Johannes Hofbauer, and academician Esteban Wiart musically move on this special evening from the Renaissance through Bach and the Baroque to Piazzola's famous tangos. Rhythmically supporting the four on their journey through the eras is drummer Michael Leopold, also a member of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. Come, listen, and enjoy!
