Youth concert by the Kirchdorf Youth Orchestra: ‘In the Fairytale Forest’
It is rare for a big band to engage with baroque music. Now we have the great fortune that in this RAT Big Band there are two composers - big band leader Hermann Miesbauer and Florian Moitzi. Both have gladly accepted the challenge of dealing with this genre. Be curious about how the band presents itself. Together with baroque, they certainly have "swing" and
"groove" in the music in abundance.
For the project "Big Ba(rock)nd," the RAT Big Band has not only revived the arrangements of classical big bands from their hibernation but has also commissioned new adaptations from composers within their own ranks. Look forward to an unusual journey through classical music!
