The KAT-Bike Light starts in Angerberg or Mariastein.
Both villages are quietly situated above the Inntal valley and offer an impressive
mountain panorama. The nearest railway station is located in Wörgl. From there,
you can reach Angerberg or Mariastein either comfortably by bus or
alternatively with a leisurely, approximately 30-minute bike ride.
Along the Innradweg
From Angerberg, we first follow the
Unterinntal-Landesstraße to the small village of Angath. There, we switch to
the well-known Innradweg, which leads us directly along the namesake Inn river to
Kufstein. The town is recognizable from afar by its imposing fortress,
which towers high above the Inn.
Past the Wilder Kaiser
In Kufstein, we leave the Innradweg and switch to the
Eibergradweg (No. 28). This leads through the impressive Weißach-Klamm to
the junction to Schwoich. From here, the cycle path runs idyllically along the
Weißache, embedded in a diverse natural landscape.
We follow the path to the district of Stockach and switch
there to the cycle path No. 14 "Wilder Kaiser". In Ellmau, we pass the golf course and then reach today's destination.
