Start in Angerberg/Mariastein
Angerberg or Mariastein are the perfect places to start the tour! The location gives you impressive views of the mountain ranges that surround the Inntal valley.
The nearest train station within the Hohe Salve region is in Wörgl. To get to Angerberg or Mariastein, there are two options. If arriving by public transport in Wörgl, you can take a taxi to Angerberg or Mariastein. The second and sportier option is to cycle from Wörgl to Angerberg or Mariastein. The neighboring villages of Angath, Angerberg, Mariastein, and Wörgl offer suitable accommodation near the starting point.
Through the Inntal into the Kitzbühel Alps
From Mariastein, we head south over the Angerberg. The route is marked and leads towards the Inn river.
We cross the Inn on a footbridge and thus reach the Innradweg. We follow the Innradweg towards Kufstein and after only about 400 meters, we turn right onto the Brixentalradweg (cycle path no. 21). Now we reach the outer boundaries of the town of Wörgl. Wörgl, by the way, is one of the larger towns on our route and has very good connections to public transport. However, we follow the Brixentalradweg in a south-easterly direction, always along the Brixentaler Ache.
The first ascent to the Haagalm
The E-njoy route now leads from the Brixentaler Ache via an asphalted road uphill to the right towards Penningberg. Quite soon the asphalt ends and we cross the Brummer Graben, where we reach a fine gravel road. Soon we leave the forest and can already spot the first huts. The Haagalm by the wayside is tempting, but unfortunately only open in winter. However, you will still find a fountain to refill your water bottles. And with the magnificent view, we can enjoy our rest even so.
On to the Kelchsau
But now down we go. Via a beautiful forest road with many serpentines, we rush downhill and soon arrive in the valley in the village of Kelchsau. A small, tranquil place in the heart of nature where we can restock our supplies.
Now we follow the road out of the valley for about 500 meters before turning right and crossing the Kelchsauer Ache via a small bridge. Here it goes directly uphill again gently on an asphalted road, where after a few meters there is a junction. Straight ahead leads us back down to Hopfgarten. From here, however, we follow cycle path 21 as quickly as possible towards Straubing - the cheese alm is waiting!

A night in nature at Gasthaus Steinberg
We now continue uphill through the Windautal and soon reach an asphalted road. We follow this to our accommodation, the Gasthof Steinberg. A magnificent place to spend the night.
