Winterhike Schwarzsee

Take the steps down from the Kitzbüheler Straße onto the Achenpromenade and follow this to the railway underpass in Gundhabing.  Passing the golf course we walk to the carpark at the Schwarzsee Lake swimming facilities.  From here we follow the Birkenweg to the Alpenhotel Schwarzsee and then walk slightly uphill into the woods, continuing through the beautiful moorlands surrounding part of lake.   On our way back, we pass the Hotel Bruggerhof, walk a short distance on the main road to the Reither road which we cross and continue on the hiking route back to Kirchberg.
 
Alternatively, from the car park at the Schwarzsee Lake swimming facilities, walk to Kitzbühel in approx. 20 minutes.
