Skitour Lodron

The ascent begins at the car park after the Jägerhäusl Inn.  We turn right at the fire station remaining on the cleared forest path uphill.  At a large snow-covered meadow we leave this forest path and continue straight ahead in a north-westerly direction, following the ascending winding path to the Scharlingtal Alpine pastures.  At the small mountain chapel we continue up to the edge of the forest where we make our way up the relatively steep but short forest area.  At this point we arrive at the “Äußeren Hartkaseralm’s” large mountain pastures and remain slightly to the south-west of the farm buildings.  Another winding path takes us uphill to the Hartkaserjoch (1,639m).  (This route is identical to the Summer route). At the mountaintop we stay southerly, passing through a sparse forest and immediately come to the wide Lodron ridge.  The magnificent summit cross awaits us and we are rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view!
Descent: the safest route is to return along the same route.
