The Tourism Association Kitzbüheler Alpen - Brixental offers all guests with a registered holiday home in Brixen im Thale, Kirchberg in Tirol or Westendorf and all long-term campers an exclusive regional discount card: the blue guest card. With this card you can enjoy numerous discounts in the region and with selected partners in the surrounding area - and save money at the same time.

Where can i get the blue guest card?
You can obtain the blue guest card directly from your local tourist office!
How long is the blue guest card valid for?
The blue card is always valid for exactly one calendar year and must be applied for / collected from the tourist office at the beginning of the year.
What does the blue guest card cost?
You can obtain the blue card free of charge from the tourist office if you can show proof of an officially registered leisure/second home and a confirmation of payment of your last local tax bill.
What do I do if I lose my guest card?
Please contact the tourist office. They can issue you with a duplicate.
Is one guest card enough for the whole family?
No, each family member over the age of 5 needs their own personalized card.
How many blue guest cards will I receive for my leisure residence?
This is staggered according to the size of the residential property: Under 30m² living space you will receive 2 personalized guest cards. Between 31m² and 100m² you will receive 4 guest cards. If you have more than 100m² of living space, you will receive 6 personalized blue cards.
Do I always have to take the guest card with me?
Yes, to take advantage of the discounts, your card should be your constant vacation companion.
Can I have the card sent to me in advance?
Yes, that is also possible. Please contact the tourist office directly. It is possible to receive the personalized blue guest card digitally. This means you always have the card to hand on your cell phone.
Are the cards checked by the partners?
Yes, it is very likely that the guest card partners will check your identity and require a valid photo ID for the guest card.

Please note that you will receive a different number of guest cards depending on the size of the property. Up to 30m² you are entitled to 2 blue guest cards. Between 31m² and 100m² you will receive 4 blue guest cards. If your property is larger than 100m², we will be happy to issue you with up to 6 personalized blue guest cards.

Please note: All cards to be issued MUST be personalized with first name, surname and date of birth. If you would like to have the blue guest card as a “digital guest card” for your cell phone, please enter the respective email address of the card holder in the corresponding field.

General Terms and Conditions: The blue guest card for leisure residences is a voluntary service provided by the Kitzbühel Alps - Brixental Valley Tourist Board, without any legal entitlement or necessity. The blue guest card of the Brixental Valley is non-transferable and personalized and is valid for one calendar year. It will be withdrawn without replacement in the event of misuse. Under certain circumstances, the scope of services may be restricted for operational reasons or for important reasons. Benefits will not be refunded or paid out in cash. Some service partners may carry out an additional identification check (using an official photo ID).

Local tax / visitor's tax / tourist tax

Your contribution to quality in the entire vacation region

As the owner of a registered and valid leisure or second home in Tyrol, you make a valuable contribution to the region with the annual tourism tax. This is levied retrospectively in November/December by the tourism association and is based on the local tax and the size of your residential property. In this way, you help to maintain the infrastructure and quality of life in the region!

The tourism tax was raised to € 3.50 by decree of the Office of the Tyrolean Provincial Government on 05.09.2024, as a result of which the flat-rate tax was recalculated accordingly.

Important notice:
The leisure residence tax prescribed by the tourism association is based on the Tourism Act of the province of Tyrol and is independent of the municipal tax for leisure residences levied by the municipalities since 2019. If you have any questions about the municipal tax, please contact your municipal office directly.

With these levies, you are actively helping to keep your leisure residence as attractive and liveable as you know and value it. Among other things, you support the maintenance of hiking and cycling trails, cross-country ski trails and improvements to the mountain infrastructure. A significant proportion of the funds also goes towards beautifying the village. Your contribution makes a difference - thank you very much!

NOTE: Guest cards for leisure residences do not include the ÖBB and VVT mobility service. Please bear this in mind when planning your journey.
