Antlassritt 2026 in the Brixental – A Tradition of Over 375 Years

For more than 375 years, the traditional Antlassritt has been celebrated in the Brixental – a unique and impressive custom that delights both locals and visitors alike.

Around 80 riders from Brixen im Thale, Kirchberg in Tirol and Westendorf take part in the procession. With beautifully decorated horses, they ride from Brixen to Kirchberg, keeping this long-standing tradition alive.

From 11:00 am: Craft & Farmers’ Market featuring regional products and live music by “Die Brixentaler Light”.

• 1:00 p.m. Open-air concert by the Musikkapelle Kirchberg

• 4:00 p.m. Open-air concert by the Bundesmusikkapelle Aschau

• 6:00 p.m. Official opening of the 10th International Choir Meeting

• 12:00 p.m. Riders gather in Westendorf and Kirchberg

• 1:00 p.m. Meeting at the parish church in Brixen and start of the ride

• 2:00 p.m. Ceremonial procession through Kirchberg, accompanied by the brass bands
