"Europe’s most beautiful village" on the sunny plateau in Brixental Valley
The holiday resort of Westendorf is located in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps and right at the entrance to Brixental Valley on a sunny high plateau, just a few kilometres from the world-famous town of Kitzbühel. Westendorf stands out with its completely contrary seasons: In winter, skiing tourism dominates life in the village. As part of the famous ski area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental the choice of lifts and pistes for skiers is almost unlimited here. In summer, the village is among one of the most popular holiday destinations for hikers, families, mountain bikers and golfers. In fact, Westendorf was once named Europe’s most beautiful flower village through the competition "Entente Florale".
In Westendorf you can ski all the way into the village centre. The centrally located ski slope makes it possible!

Windautal is a long side Valley of Brixental Valley and extends with a length of 16 km over Westendorf and part of Hopfgarten. In the south, the valley borders on the state of Salzburg. Not only guests, but locals too, appreciate the local recreation area and use it to gather new strength and energy. But the valley has much more to offer than "just" countless hiking and cycling tours - sublime views, peace and quiet and pure freedom also await you. Here, nature can still be nature.
