A family idyll in 1950s France: Michel, mediocre, is a bank employee and breadwinner, while his better half Hélène, with a perm but rebellious, takes care of the household and children. The patriarchal paradise seems perfect until a short circuit of the newly installed washing machine catapults them into the year 2025. Suddenly, the roles are redefined. While Hélène surprisingly excels as a career-driven power woman despite her cluelessness, Michel struggles as a househusband in the smart home. Instead of submissive rhetoric, Michel now needs empowerment, while Hélène enjoys the freedom of emancipation. But this brave new world has its pitfalls: the virtual language assistant is a stubborn mule, the furniture needs to be assembled by oneself, dog poop is picked up from the floor, and their daughter wants to marry her girlfriend. This is too much for the dethroned head of the family. It's time to return to the good old days, and immediately! If only he knew how to program the smart washing machine for a time travel.
