Hängebank Sonnwendalm

We start our hike at the Ebenau parking lot in Aschau.
From there, we hike into the Unteren Grund, first a short distance along the river before turning left at the first opportunity and following the steep mountain path.
Once we reach the Sonnwendalm, the hanging bench awaits us, inviting us to take a break with a wonderful view of the Wilden Kaiser.
From there, we continue hiking uphill along the forest road and keep to the right, staying on the nature trail for a while before later taking the descent via the mountain trail to the Hintenbachalm or the Kasplatzl, where there is the possibility of a well-deserved stop for refreshments.
From there, it is a short hour's walk out of the valley, past the suspension bridge and the waterfall back to the Ebenau parking lot.
