Alpengasthof Ruetzen

The starting point for this hike is the centre of Kirchberg. We walk past the Neuwirtshof shop through the subway and immediately turn right towards Weinberg. We keep to the road uphill towards Sonnberg, turn left at the first crossroads and walk a few steps downhill again until we reach the beautiful old farmhouses, where we turn right and keep going uphill. Once we have left the settlement of Spertendorf behind us, we follow an old forest road past the Sockerbauer farm and continue on a natural path to Gasthof Ruetzen. If you still have some energy left, you can add a short loop and enjoy the marvellous panorama of Kirchberg and the Spertental valley. The quickest way back is to our starting point in Kirchberg.
