Bezirksmusikfest Westendorf

The district music festival in Westendorf represents a significant cultural highlight in the district's events. Music bands from the entire region gather to celebrate brass music, tradition, and community spirit.

During the festival, festive parades, musical performances, and a diverse program shape the village's atmosphere. Friday, 14.08.2026 (free entry)
Entry from 6:00 PM in the festival tent, at 7:30 PM the procession of the federal music band Oberau followed by a festival concert conducted by Christian Widmann and tapping of the keg by Mayor Rene Schwaiger. From 9:15 PM, "Echt Böhmisch" will provide musical entertainment.

Saturday, 15.08.2026 (pre-sale € 10.00 / at the door € 12.00)
From 2:00 PM, youth afternoon with a supporting program (including Bogi Clown, bouncy castle) as well as performances by various youth bands. Entry to the festival tent from 6:00 PM, at 7:30 PM the procession of the federal music band Söll followed by a festival concert conducted by Michael Mayr. From 9:15 PM, BRASSARANKA provides brass music at the highest level.

Sunday, 16.08.2026 (free entry)
From 8:00 AM, arrival of the music bands for the festival mass in the village square, at 8:30 AM the festive service with Pastor Roland Frühauf, musically shaped by the music bands. At 10:30 AM, a grand festival parade from Bichling to the festival tent. From 3:00 PM, the festival closing with the Jochberger Blechschodn.
