The International Choir Association Meeting in Kirchberg brings together choirs and singing associations from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland in the Brixental. The focus is on singing together, cultural exchange, and a diverse accompanying program in and around Kirchberg.
The kick-off takes place on Thursday with a crafts and farmers market in the town center, along with a square concert by the Kirchberg music band. This is followed by the traditional Antlassritt. In the evening, the participating associations will be officially welcomed, before the communal singing of "La Montanara" and an open singing session at the music pavilion round off the day.
On Friday, a guided hike to mountain inns and alpine huts will take place, where musical contributions will occur in a sociable atmosphere. In the evening, the “Night of the Choirs” in the parish church of Kirchberg will be a highlight.
Saturday is dedicated to performances by the singing associations at the village square (in case of bad weather in the arena365), followed by a ceremonial presentation of memento gifts. In the evening, live music and open singing invite further musical exchange.
On Sunday, the participating associations will depart.
