Kreuzweg Brixenbachalm

We drive by car to the rider's bridge in the district of Winkl, Brixenbach. We march always on the left side along the Brixenbach river uphill. This trail leads through beautiful alpine and mountain meadows and is lined with several Marterl that represent the Stations of the Cross of Jesus. After a short stretch through the woods, we reach the highest point of this hike, a nicely located resting place above the Brixenbachalm with a magnificent view of the Wilder Kaiser and the Brixner Sonnberg. We descend to the Brixenbachalm and enjoy a delicious alpine snack before we make our way back. For the return journey, we either choose the same route or we follow the forest road downhill along the Brixenbach river back to our starting point.
