For two decades Tirol’s state government has been awarding the Tirol trail seal of approval to operators of trails who make an application and meet specific conditions.

The trail areas must have a set amount of trails which have a minimum level of facilities and which meet good standards in terms of preparation, orientation, marking and protection for hazardous areas.

The St. Johann in Tirol region is in this elite circle of Tirol cross-country specialists and meets high quality standards.

Requirements for maintaining the perfect quality of the trail network!

The St. Johann in Tirol region has provided trails with notice boards that meet Austrian standards. The signposts show the direction and kilometres. The signposts are blue, red and black. The various difficulty levels are provided too.
