Landscape, People & Favorite Places – The Different Cycling Tour

This special tour does not focus on cycling itself – rather, it offers you the opportunity to discover hidden treasures and learn fascinating things about the region. Accompanying the tour is Martina from the tourism association, who knows a story about every place, every hamlet, and almost every stone.

From the meeting point in St. Johann in Tirol, the route takes you idyllically along the Kitzbüheler Ache towards Kirchdorf – always accompanied by beautiful landscapes, fresh Tyrolean air, and various anecdotes from Martina. Upon arriving in the center of Kirchdorf, there are exciting insider stories about the village, the church, and the historic butcher's house. Stories you won't find in the travel guide. A visit to the lovingly designed and maintained Glückskräutergarten is a must. There, Sonja, a passionate gardener and herbalist, will take you on a journey through her garden. It quickly becomes clear here: there is a herb for almost everything.
Next, we head to Erpfendorf to Bichlbauern, where Barbara and Ägidius run their farm with a lot of passion, humor, and genuine Tyrolean hospitality. Barbara provides exciting insights into life on the farm and shows how much work, love, and early rising go into their homemade delicacies. Of course, a tasting should not be missed – especially the highly sought-after farmhouse bread.
Not far away awaits the Clemens-Holzmeister Church of St. Barbara, a small architectural highlight. After intriguing insights, it's finally time: shoes off and legs in! In the Kneipp facility, tired cycling legs can be wonderfully cooled off. After a good strengthening and cooling down, the route returns comfortably to St. Johann in Tirol.

Equipment: We recommend riding an e-bike. If you are fit, you can certainly keep up on a standard bike. Rental bikes are not included.

Tip: Bring some cash in case you want to buy some culinary treats from Barbara.
