Explore treasures of Kirchdorf with a unique view from the church tower

Join Maria Braito, cultural matron and guardian of the great cultural treasure Metzgerhaus, on a special journey through the history of Kirchdorf in Tyrol and discover impressive places, exciting stories and lived Tyrolean tradition.

During this varied tour, you will discover significant artifacts from Kirchdorf's history: From the historical Metzgerhaus, one of the oldest houses in the village and a symbol of former village life and craftsmanship, to the Rupert-Wintersteller monument, which commemorates the famous Tyrolean freedom fighter and his commitment to the freedom of Tyrol. Afterwards, visit the Kaiser-Heinrich chapel with its special underground beer cellar and experience the rare opportunity to climb the Kirchdorf church tower together with the deacon, which offers exciting insights into its history as well as an impressive view of Kirchdorf and the surrounding mountains. The cozy conclusion will be a tasting of a traditional Tyrolean specialty – either a homemade press dumpling soup or a hearty barley soup.
