Join Maria Braito, cultural ambassador and custodian of the great cultural treasure Metzgerhaus, on a special journey through the history of Kirchdorf in Tirol and discover impressive places, exciting stories, and lived Tyrolean tradition.
During this varied tour, you will discover significant evidence of Kirchdorf's history: from the historic Metzgerhaus, one of the oldest houses in the village and a symbol of earlier village life and craftsmanship, to the Rupert-Wintersteller monument, which commemorates the famous Tyrolean freedom fighter and his commitment to the freedom of Tyrol. Afterwards, you will visit the Kaiser-Heinrich chapel with its special underground beer cellar and experience the rare opportunity to climb the Kirchdorf bell tower together with the deacon, offering exciting insights into its history as well as an impressive view of Kirchdorf and the surrounding mountains. The cozy conclusion will be a tasting of a traditional Tyrolean specialty – a homemade bread dumpling soup or a hearty barley soup.
