Lucky Starlight Hike

An exhilarating walk through the universe with star guide Tobias Muster.

Anyone who has ever lain in a dark place under a twinkling starry sky on a clear night will probably remember the majesty of this sight for a lifetime.

On the Glücks-Sterndl hike, we will hike a short distance from Gasteig up to the Bacheralm area, where we will make ourselves comfortable on the alpine meadow under the dark starry sky with the sleeping mats and blankets we have brought with us.

With binoculars, a laser pointer and relaxation exercises, we will dive deep into this "greatest picture book of mankind" above us, while at the same time feeling more and more connected to the earth below. In the second part, we set off on an even deeper journey of discovery through the universe with a mobile telescope that we have brought with us. What remains is a feeling of gratitude for the good fortune of being able to surf through space on this unique blue planet Earth.

Duration: approx. 3.00 h, of which pure walking time approx. 1.15 h

Requirements: Walking on easy mountain paths and forest roads at night, 130 metres altitude difference.

Meeting point: Gasthof Mitterjager, Schwendter Straße 62, Kirchdorf in Tirol,

Number of participants: Maximum 10 persons from 12 years of age

Bad weather: In case of cloudy or rainy weather the event has to be cancelled without substitution. Information about the realisation of the event will be given by 4 p.m. on the day of the event.

Changes to the hiking routes can be made by the mountain guide before the start of the tour or during the day. We ask for your understanding if participants with insufficient equipment cannot be taken along.

All guided hikes are free with St. Johann Card (€ 10 without guest card). Reduction with guest card from the regions St. Johann in Tirol, PillerseeTal, Brixental and Hohe Salve. Dogs are not allowed!

Equipment: Sturdy mountain boots (no trainers), warm clothing, possibly a blanket, sleeping mat, binoculars and headlamp and a (warm) drink.
