Event information

The universal fascination for the music of this 20-member women's choir dates back to its sensational first success in 1987. Since then, the choir has performed concerts around the world, including being invited to the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo and to the 850th anniversary celebration of the city of Moscow in Red Square. The singers have thrilled millions of listeners with their surprising, enchanting, and incredibly precise singing – singing that touches the soul deeply. Their music is currently published on 13 recordings.

Each region of Bulgaria has its own, rare singing style. For every event in the active and festive life of the Bulgarian people, for every ritual conducted in harmony with the seasons and the agricultural calendar, there are songs and melodies. One of the most archaic styles can be found in some villages in the Pirin region in southwestern Bulgaria – this unique style has been included by UNESCO in the "Living Human Treasures" program.

On the current tour, The Bulgarian Voices Angelite present a mix of traditional songs from the Balkan regions and the new CD with Orthodox Songs of the Early Middle Ages. Hardly anyone can resist the charm and fascination of these songs!

Price: € 30.00
