The municipality of Kirchdorf in Tirol has been the owner since 2020 and has revitalized this industrial monument along with the tourism association, including the attractive natural areas (completion summer 2022). An attractive recreational area has been implemented.
On the Luigambach in Kirchdorf in Tirol lies one of the oldest small hydropower plants in Tyrol.
Where the reservoir now stands in Kirchdorf, the farm "Talschmiede" once existed. When the dam project at the Luigam was implemented in 1901/1902, this farm had to make way. A 10-meter-high wall was constructed for electricity generation, with pressure pipe lines laid over 354 meters. From 1954 to 2020, the power plant was maintained and operated by TIWAG.

This is one of our Yapadu Glücksplätze: Hanging Happiness
In this place of happiness, one can enjoy the peace lying in a hammock between the trees, with a wonderful view of the reservoir, listen to the rushing of the stream, and simply be happy. Happiness can feel so light and buoyant.
