The Museum St. Johann in Tirol sees itself as a starting point for a deeper experience of St. Johann and the surrounding area and offers both locals and tourists exciting information about the region.

In addition, there is the main exhibition "felsenreich - Mythos und Erlebnis Kaisergebirge" (rich in rocks - myth and experience of the Kaisergebirge) with several attractions, such as the green earthworms, which can be observed live in summer, the roaring cave bear "Grim", prehistoric artefacts from the Tischofer cave, exhibits, pictures and films about mountaineering once and today, as well as the ascent to the Babenstuberhütte with unusual views of the Kaisergebirge.

The individual exhibition topics can be experienced via audio guide on mobile phone in German, English and Italian.

Exhibitions of contemporary art are presented in the gallery on the upper floor.
