That one of the Austrian hot spots of the festival scene for Jazz and improvisational music is in St. Johann in Tirol, has been known for years beyond the state borders. In March, the small, yet perfectly formed, Festival Artacts provides an international sensation. It is with a great deal of passion and expertise that this festival brings a sensitivity for music that is capable of captivating a critical and expert audience.
St. Johann in Tirol, nestling in the Kitzbühel Alps, becomes the international hotspot of this scene, with the Artacts festival the opening act to a fine programme of this year's festival series. Visitors travel some 1000 kilometres to listen to the exquisite programme.
