Suitable for climbing fans! In St. Johann in Tirol two new via ferrata routes are waiting for you on the Kitzbüheler Horn. The re-designed routes are a source of fun for every performance-oriented sports person. Beginners can get a taste for this sport too on the practice via ferrata route. The dreamy panorama across the Kitzbüheler Alps makes the path a highlight. The view to the Wilder Kaiser and to the Lofer and Leogang Stone Mountains sets every mountaineers heart racing.

From the mountain station on the Harschbichl hike for some 20 minutes to the Kitzbüheler Horn until you reach the entrance to the practice via ferrata route. After a circuit over 100m in length (1 section C level) you are at the entrance again and continue hiking to the summit path.

After another quarter of an hour a big challenge awaits for every mountaineering buff – the summit path to the Kitzbüheler Horn! The start is close to the Ludwig-Scheibersteig path. At more than 350 m in length and 150 metres altitude, the path heads along the ridge to the summit. The via ferrata route reaches difficulty level C on several occasions. Once at the top, your efforts are rewarded with an impressive view to the Großglockner!
