Tour information

How to get to the starting point: From the centre of the village, cycle along the Ache towards Gasthof Eiserne Hand. Immediately afterwards, cycle over the bridge. From here follow the tour "Eiserne Hand Hörndlinger Graben 259". Always follow the course of the stream and road, past the small waterfalls "Schreiende Brunnen" to the valley station of the TirolS-Bahn (up to here 9.2 km / 1h10).
From here, the tour to the Hochhörndler Hut no. 2020 begins. Continue biking steadily uphill into the valley. From the Grundalmen, the ascent begins via the serpentines of the forest road up to the hut. Return via the same route back to the village centre.

Getting there Coming from St. Johann i.T. or Hochfilzen via the B164 Hochkönig federal road (coming from Waidring / St. Ulrich via the L2 Pillerseestraße) to Fieberbrunn. At the end of the village / entrance to the village turn off in the direction of the industrial estate - Gasthof Eiserne Hand. Shortly after the inn there is a small public car park.
Public transport By bus: Bus connection from Ellmau / Kitzbühel / St. Johann i.T. / Lofer and within the PillerseeTal region. Bus stop Fieberbrunn Walchau. Free of charge with guest card. Limited bicycle transport possible. Journey time to the starting point at the TirolS Bahn approx. 1 h.

By train: Train connection from Wörgl to Hochfilzen (regional trains). Free of charge with guest card. Fieberbrunn railway station. Limited bicycle transport possible. Journey time to the starting point at the TirolS Bahn approx. 1h10min.
Parking Parking in Fieberbrunn village centre (gravel car park, free of charge, 1h to the starting point) or small car park after Gasthof Eiserne Hand (free of charge, 45 min to the starting point).
