Racing Bike Tour: Pass Thurn, Gerlos Pass
HardThe KAT Bike Sport+ is a 3-day bike tour through the Kitzbüheler Alpen for bikers with very good fitness levels. The tour also includes trails with varying degrees of difficulty, which can however be bypassed via forest roads. The tour covers 146 km and around 4,800 metres of elevation gain. The KAT Bike Sport+ can also be ridden with an e-bike.
The tour starts in Hopfgarten and shows right at the beginning what it has to offer: it goes up to the Kleine Salve and Hohe Salve, where an incredible panoramic view awaits the bikers. Subsequently, the KAT Bike leads to Brixen im Thale, from here via the Spertental to Kitzbühel and Oberndorf. It continues over the Harschbichl with the Kitzbüheler Horn in sight to St. Johann in Tirol, Kirchdorf and further - like the KAT Bike E-njoy – to Waidring and St. Ulrich am Pillersee. In Fieberbrunn, the final climb leads to the Lärchfilzhochalm and the Streuböden intermediate station, before reaching the stage destination in the village of Fieberbrunn.
The KAT Bike Sport+ offers plenty of elevation gain and daily kilometres, as well as beautiful mountain panoramas and secluded spots. Thanks to the all-round carefree package, you can concentrate fully on the sporting challenges, as luggage transport, accommodation with half board or breakfast and maps are all organised.
