Tour information

The starting point of this tour is the parking lot at the Tiefentalalm in Langer Grund. From there, you head into the valley to the Oberkaralm (No. 77). Then you hike somewhat steeper to the Öfeleralm, which lies at 1,988 meters. The path continues uphill to the summit of the Torhelm (2,494 meters). The descent is via the same path.
Alternatively, you can also extend the way back via the Regenfeldrunde. To do this, turn off at the Öfeleralm onto the signposted trail 77/1. Passing small mountain lakes you hike to the Regenfeldalm and Ochsenschlagniederalm. From there you return to the Tiefentalalm via the forest path. This extension extends the hike by about 2h 15min and 7 km.

There are no refreshment stops on the tour. Therefore, we strongly recommend to take enough food and drink with you.

Getting there From Innsbruck/Munich: A12 exit Wörgl Ost - feeder road B178 towards St. Johann i. T. & Kitzbühel - after the tunnel exit towards Hopfgarten - at the roundabout take the B170 towards Hopfgarten - turn right after the underpass and cross the bridge towards Kelchsau - head into the valley on the L205 Kelchsauer Straße approx. 10 km to toll station (car toll EUR 5,-) - pass toll station and continue straight on Langer Grund

From Kitzbühel: B170 Brixentalstraße in the direction of Wörgl - in Hopfgarten, before the second railway underpass, turn left over the bridge in the direction of Kelchsau - approx. 10 km to the toll station (car toll EUR 5.-) - pass the toll station and continue straight on to Langer Grund - follow the Langer Grund route
Public transport bus: Steinerbrücke Kelchsau
train: Hopfgarten i. B. Berglift

Guest card of the region = train ticket from Wörgl to Hochfilzen + bus ticket from Mariastein to Kitzbühel
includedvalid onÖBB local trains (S, REX) and InterRegio trains (IR) between Kirchbichl - Wörgl
and Hochfilzen. Not valid on RJ, RJX, EC, IC, ICE, D and NJ/EN trains.
