Tour information

The starting point of this demanding tour is at the sports field on the Penningberg from where you walk approx. 300m to Penningdörfl. Then follow a somewhat steeper trail past remote farms and the Mittermoosen reservoir to the summit of the Markbachjoch (1500 m).
Continue on trail no. 74 past the Holzalm to the chapel at Horler Stiegl. From there you reach the Feldalphorn (1923 m) in about one and a half hours.
This trail (no. 74) leads along a mountain path to the Trockenbachalm. From there you hike along a forest road to the Haag Alm and continue through the forest down to the Innerpenningberg. Once there, follow the asphalted Penninger Straße out of the valley until you reach the destination of this hike at the Penningberg sports field.

Getting there Coming from Innsbruck/Munich: A12 exit Wörgl Ost - feeder road B178 direction St. Johann i. T. & Kitzbühel - after tunnel exit direction Hopfgarten - in the traffic circle exit on B170 direction Hopfgarten - right under the underpass over bridge direction Kelchsau - into the valley on L205 Kelchsauer Straße approx. 200 m - right on Pnningbergstraße - after approx. 2 km destination is on the right side.

Coming from Kitzbühel: B170 Brixentalstraße direction Wörgl - in Hopfgarten before the second railroad underpass turn left over bridge direction Kelchsau - into the valley on L205 Kelchsauer Straße approx. 200 m - turn right on Pnningbergstraße - after approx. 2 km destination is on the right side.
