The starting point for this short hike is the car park opposite the Hofstatt cable car in Kelchsau. From there, cross the newly built bridge over the Kelchsauer Ache and then turn right - following the signs for 'Dorfweg'. Follow the stream down into the valley for a short distance. Cross the next bridge again and walk through the upper village until you cross the main road.
Turn left uphill and after about 70 m the trail continues on the opposite side of the road. Now take the village circular path, which first climbs steeply uphill across a meadow. Once you have reached the edge of the forest, there are wonderful views down to the village and out of the valley towards the Hohe Salve. The hiking trail now runs gently up and down along the edge of the forest.
After a short stretch in the forest, you reach a forest road. Follow this uphill for a short while and cross the former Kelchsau ski slope. After crossing the piste, the tour leads somewhat steeper downhill through the forest. Finally you reach an asphalt road, which you follow until you reach the Kelchsau main road. Turn right here and after about 200 m you reach the starting point.
